Popular social media app WhatsApp has guaranteed it shares restricted information of installment benefit with its parent firm Facebook and the web based life major does not utilize the data for business purpose.
“Facebook does not utilize WhatsApp payment information for business purposes, it just helps pass the essential installment data to the bank accomplice and NPCI. Sometimes, we may share constrained information to help give client support to you or keep installments protected and secure,” WhatsApp guaranteed on its site.
The Ministry of Electronics and IT has written to National Payment Corporation of India to verify compliance around WhatsApp payment and check if WhatsApp is sharing data with its parent firm Facebook, as per government sources.
The mobile messaging app creates the necessary connection between the sender and recipient of the payment, using Facebook infrastructure, WhatsApp stated on its website.
